Preparing Today’s Youth to Lead in Tomorrow’s Emergencies
At Savannah Youth City, Inc., we are proud to be one of the only community-based nonprofits in the region offering the Teen Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program specifically tailored for youth ages 11–17.
Teen CERT trains young people in life-saving emergency response skills while also teaching leadership, civic responsibility, and how to stay calm and confident during natural disasters and everyday crises. Our students don’t just learn how to respond — they learn how to lead.
🚨 What CERT Training includes:
Savannah is located in a high-risk zone for hurricanes, flooding, and severe weather. CERT training gives our youth the tools to respond before first responders arrive, protect their families, and serve as community heroes. This training empowers our young people to:
✅ Register for an upcoming CERT Training class
✅ Sponsor a student or donate a CERT Training emergency kit
✅ Volunteer or partner with our team
