At Savannah Youth City, Inc., we are proud to be one of the only community-based nonprofits in the region offering the Teen Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program specifically tailored for youth ages 6-24.
Teen CERT trains young people in life-saving emergency response skills while also teaching leadership, civic responsibility, and how to stay calm and confident during natural disasters and everyday crises. Our students don’t just learn how to respond — they learn how to lead.

📍 Why It Matters:
Savannah is located in a high-risk zone for hurricanes, flooding, and severe weather. CERT training gives our youth the tools to respond before first responders arrive, protect their families, and serve as community heroes. This training empowers our young people to:

- Access job and career pathways in public safety
